IAM Sold Property Auctions who operate The Connacht Property Auction, The Munster Property Auction and The Leinster Property Auction are delighted to announce the appointment of Brian Christy as Regional Sales Manager for the Connacht region. The company work in partnership with over 150 auctioneers across Ireland and Mr. Christy has been promoted to this managerial position after 4 years of exceptional work within the company.
Mr. Christy, native of Drumkeeran, Co. Leitrim, joined the company in 2013 after graduating with a first class Honours Degree in Real Estate from GMIT. He initially joined the company as an auction consultant, working on sales in the Connacht region. After establishing The Connacht Property Auction, this Galway based company expanded into other areas of Ireland while also expanding their business within Connacht. In 2014 the company expanded south and The Munster Property Auction held their first public auction in Cork and have continued their successful operations in Munster since then. The following year, the company launched The Leinster Property Auction and again this has proved very successful with regular events taking place in Dublin. According to company directors Patrick Folan and Patrick Convey, Brian has been essential to the company expansion within Connacht and elsewhere.
While the popularity of the auctions have continued to grow across Ireland, Mr. Christy was heavily involved in sales with particular focus on the Connacht region. Over the last two years, Brian has successfully negotiated the sale of over 150 properties in Connacht and is currently dealing with a portfolio of over 50 assets across the province.
In 2016, The Connacht Property Auction enjoyed an average success rate of over 93% at the public auction events, which was the most successful of any auction company in Ireland. The company has already run 6 successful auctions this year and Mr. Christy commented, “In 2016, our public auction events sold over 250 properties across Ireland and our average sold ratio for the year was over 90%, the highest success rate of any auction company in Ireland. As we head into our 2017 Summer auction season our aim is to continue to grow our business by achieving the best results for our clients. We will be keeping our policy of ‘no upfront costs’ for auction entry or marketing and with the improving market conditions we are confident of another successful year of auctions.”
Director Patrick Folan continued, “Over the last number of years Brian has proven to be ambitious, reliable and a highly professional member of the team. His has a strong track record in sales and an excellent understanding of the property market. This made him the ideal choice for as regional manager and we are delighted to be promoting Brian after several years of hard work within the company. With 9 further public auctions between now and December, Brian and all the auction team will be busy working towards further successful auction events.”
